Adrian is an orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in the treatment of sports injuries, overuse and arthritic conditions of the shoulder and knee. He is well-versed in non-operative treatment options and experienced in arthroscopy, arthroscopic reconstructions and joint replacement surgery. He utilises minimally invasive techniques whenever possible and modern, up-to-date technology and implants for the benefit of his patients.
Adrian studied medicine at the University of Sydney and subsequently earned a PhD in surgery from the University of New South Wales for a thesis investigating the differential role of growth factors in bone healing. He was awarded the Foundation and John Loewenthal scholarships by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for research. Adrian has a number of publications in international peer-reviewed journals including a book chapter. He is a scientific reviewer for the Journal of Arthroscopy and the Bone & Joint Journal and continues to be involved with research and teaching.
Adrian completed orthopaedic training in Sydney then travelled abroad to England for further subspecialty fellowships in Oxford and Cambridge University Hospitals. His current academic appointments are as Senior lecturer in orthopaedic surgery with Sydney University and Conjoint associate lecturer with New South Wales University. Adrian is in private practice and operates at the Sydney Adventist, Macquarie University and Norwest Private Hospitals
